To add a child node with the keyboard:

(1) First make sure that the tree has focus - if necessary click on the tree with the mouse so that it will receive your keyboard input.

(2) Then use the Up/Down Arrow keys to select the node.

(3) Press the Insert key on your keyboard

(4) Type a name for the new node, then press Enter.
